Whee~! I'm Feeling Girly ^^
Yes you can believe it, I'm feeling GIRLY and I'm happy about it^^
Okay I know you're like speechless, but come on man, its tough being a girl, but I'm who God made me to be.
Recently I've been reading a book from the Double Gs "series" (God Guy / God Girl) and it has been a really helpful to me on how to be a girl that's connected to God. Well I guess I might blog about that later.

Anyway, what do you think of my new blog-look? Besides that its more colorful than before XD *teehee~
God bless all the Double Gs in the world! ^^

David’s Rejections:
# When Samuel came to Jesse’s home to anoint one of his sons as king of Israel, Jesse called all of his sons to the meeting—except his youngest son David.
# When David was sent by his father to see how his brothers were doing on the battlefield, Eliab, his brother said: “I know your pride and how wicked your heart is; you came down only to watch the battle.”
# His father-in-law, King Saul, tried to kill him, REPEATEDLY.
# His wife, Michal, despised him in her heart as he danced before the Lord. He’s even getting rejection from his wife!
# 2 of his very own sons whom he loved deeply (Absalom & Adonijah) attempted on separate occasions to overthrow their father, kill him, and take over his throne.

How did David process all this rejection? He continually withdrew into the secret place and renewed his hope and confidence in God. Because he responded properly to it, it was the rejection that seasoned David’s soul and safeguarded him from tyrannical leadership.
Points to remember:
* God is actually ALLOWS rejection in His sovereign plan for a divine purpose.
*Bigger rejection, bigger DIRECTION.
*Rejection is 1 of God’s specialty tools in the school of the Spirit—reserved for those He ESPECIALLY LIKES. (eg. Jesus, David, the prophets etc.)
*You’ll never grow beyond the need for rejection to tenderize your heart before God.
*When people reject you, but you are fueled on the inside with the profound affections of your Father for you, then you’re able to give yourself to your fellow man in love regardless of how he treats you.
Rejection is a trial—but the acceptance of the Father is the healing ointment.

Smile! God loves you :)
Rejection? *Shrug~
This letter is the fictitious response of a graduate who applied to many universities for a teaching position. After receiving a plethora of the standardized rejections, he finally became exasperate to the point of writing this response to one of the universities:
Dear Professor Worthington,
Thank you for your letter of March 23. After careful consideration, I regret to inform you that I am unable to accept your refusal to offer me an assistant professor position in your department.
This year I have been particularly fortunate in receiving an unusually large number of rejection letters. With such varied and promising field of opportunities, it is impossible for me to accept all refusals.
Despite Whitson University’s outstanding qualifications and previous experience in rejecting applicants, I find that your rejection does not meet my needs at this time. Therefore, I will assume the position of assistant professor in your department this August. I look forward to seeing you then.
Best of luck in rejecting future applicants.
Sincerely,
TJ Baggins
Wouldn’t it be nice if rejection were this easy to process? A simple shrug of the shoulders, a quick retort that “your rejection does not meet my needs at this time,” and then a backhanded dismissal of the pain. Poof—gone! But it ain’t that easy.
The above is taken from a book by Bob Sorge, “Dealing with the Rejection and Praise of Man”. Real good stuffs, contains many truths about rejection and praise that lasts a lifetime, and I still got half of the book to go! Interested? Then get hold of the book. Can’t? Okay I’ll blog some points from it, these are good stuff for everyone to know, and I don’t wanna be selfish ;)
Here’s something I leave with you before I end.
Rejection and praise is a vast subject, if you find the points/examples that might be given later incomplete or “Okay, I understand what you’re saying, but you’re not really addressing what happened to me”, I would direct you to the words of Jesus who said, “Go and learn what this means” (Matthew 9v13). Jesus told His listeners to do their own Bible study.
Peace out!

So what....is your Flaw-List?
Ever heard people back stabbing you? Yes? Ever heard friends back stabbing you? Yes? Ever heard close friends back stabbing you? Yes? I got two words for you my friend..
SO WHAT?
Welcome to the realm of the ugly human nature. You agree? No? Let’s see if you agree with this statement: No one is perfect. Agree? Yes. So, you’ll have to agree that the human nature is real ugly.
Now, I’m not trying to be rude by saying “so what”, the point I want to make through that statement is that, if you’ve HAD or you ARE wallowing in self pity because of the ugly things people say about you, wake up and realize that you’re not the only one. Somehow somewhere there’ll be another person going through the same thing.
Angry? Yes. Sad? Yes. Disappointed? Yes
I’ve read a book called “By Searching” by Isobel Kuhn, the following was written when she was writing a letter to a friend about how she was accused of her bad qualities, and this was her friend’s reply:
“Isobel,” he wrote, “What surprised me the most of all was your attitude in this matter. You sound bitter and resentful. Why, if anyone had said to me, ‘Roy B. you are proud, disobedient and a troublemaker,’ I would answer: ‘Amen, brother! And even then you haven’t said the half of it!’ What good thing is there in any of us, anyway? We only have victory over these things as we bring them one by one to the Cross and ask our Lord to crucify it for us.”
Amazing! He was not afraid to season his words with salt even as he did not forget to speak with grace also.
Here’s a list about the flaws I have (I’m gonna be very honest here):
Proud Disobedient Troublemaker Disrespectful Rude Insensitive Impulsive Judgemental Lazy Irresponsible Critical Know-it-all Withholding Dishonest
Seriously, I’m dishonest, though I said “very honest” in my (). Any other flaw I left out? Care to point it out for me anyone? I would also want to ask for forgiveness from anyone I’ve offended.
All thanks to the Lord Jesus for His great love and forgiveness.

Under 18--Zint

It has sequels as below:
-No Fear
-Fearless
-Fear No More
-End Of Fear
As you can see its about students, and it actually leaves a negative impression at first because it has traces of gangsterism and violence, I actually get sounded by my mom when this comic 1st appeared in my house (yeah you can shake your head at me now).
But leave the negatives out, you get romance, teenage struggles (SPM, bully, parents etc.) and school life (the main characters are members of a counseling club).

Many youths today are troubled and have problems which we mat not be aware of, its time to start giving a helping hand (simply showing concern) to the teens out there for the hope of a brighter future.
God says: " I have plans for you, plans to prosper you, to give you a future and a hope,"
God bless all youths of the world! :)

Behind That Shiny Resume--Jasmine Yow

This is a very interesting book written by a youth (21 years old still considered youth? I guess so, lets call her my senior ok?) from my church. Here's a short intro:
Have you ever wondered what lies behind a successful facade? For Jasmine, it was a confused and hurting heart that led to clinical depression.
Behind that Shiny Resume offers you precious glimpses into her honest struggles. Watch her wrestle to reconcile her fiery passion to be outstanding in life with her desire for peer acceptance. And take heart as the girl who once mocked her shiny resume finally learns to love and enjoy her God-given beauty and talent.
I've read her book (Its her 1st published book ever) and had laughed and teared at the same time in the process of digesting its contents. Very easy to read and professionally written, its a hard-to-put-down book. Here's a peek of 1 of its interesting bit of her life written in the book:
So I decided I would try.
But in there, I didn't try. I didn't try at all. I didn't even read the questions.
I just scribbled a few lines on my answer sheet explaining that I did nothing and there would be no need for the examiner to panic over loose answer scripts.
Just give me my zero, I wrote.

Isn't she just adorable? I would recommend this book to students especially, it'll be available this Jan 2010 at Malaysian bookstores (Popular, MPH etc.). For more info on how to get it and the price of this book, check out this Facebook page for more info :)
Jasmine we're so proud of you! May God continue to bless you in your wonderful life!

Snakes In The Lobby-- Vision by Scott MacLeod
Forgive me people for posting such a "gross" post after a "pause" from me for soooo long..haha..
But get ready, this will be kinda long XD
I recently read this book recommended and lent by a church member and I would recommend it to all Christians!!!
Ok ok...get ready...GO!!!
The Lobby =
Packed full with artists, musicians, people directly involved in the business of music. MANY ARE UNAWARE of the huge snakes even though they are leaning against them, surrounded, or even wrapped up in them. They are blinded victims. They were busy “lobbying” for position, power and their own agendas.
The Snakes =
Powerful evil spirits that plague and control much of the Christian music industry and much of Christendom. (That’s sad) They have authority to control people WHO HAD ALLOWED ROOM for these sins to continue in their lives. Primary power is deception.
The Big One = “Self-Promotion”
Grayish colored, hollow and yet all-consuming look upon its face—Hunger. Slowly surround victims then swallow them whole without them even being aware of it. The victims were still alive inside it. (Ewww~) Some WILLINGLY and CONSCIOUSLY allowed the snake to engulf them, they wanted to get bigger and BIGGER, like the bloated serpent.
Matt23v12 Ps75v6-7
The Charmer = “Lust”
Very beautiful-looking, ever changing colors and appearance according to the desires of those under its power. Swaying back and forth, doing a hypnotic dance. Without losing rhythm of its cobra-like movement, it would strike the people gathered around it who were flirting and dancing with it and each other. The people spoke deceptive flattery to one another. They realized that they could use the snake’s power to gain attention and power, and get what they want quicker. Many victims that were now held captive in the belly of Self-Promotion, had first been bitten by Lust. The venom brings a real high, but not long after wards the victim becomes sick and goes back for another bite for relief because the venom is very addictive. The victim in turn bites others after completely consumed with the poison. The SICKNESS spreads.
Col3v5 1John2v16
The Two Snakes = “Pride” & “Insecurity”
Intertwined like mating, spinning over and over, making a very uneasy sound. Biting, feeding off each other, reproducing after their own kind. People turned red (Pride) and yellow (Insecurity) back and forth. The two snakes made those affected MISERABLE. The victims didn’t want to admit it, because their pride told them that they might look weak, insecure or possibly unsuccessful.
Prov16v18 Jer17v7
To be continued....wanna know more? coming up (hopefully soon) is "The Flesh Snake="
