People are undependable. Even Christians are undependable. Even Christian leaders with their best and most sincere efforts are undependable.
“You can’t depend on anyone, not even a great leader. Once they die and are buried, that will be the end of all their plans.” –Psalm 146v3-4
Those who put their trust in man will always be disappointed. Either man will fail you in your time of need, or he will do something to scandalize you, or he will move away from you, or even in the best circumstances (lets say that the man of God is faithful and true throughout his entire lifetime), he will DIE on you!
You can’t put your trust in any human! The one who praises you today may very possibly disappoint and reject you tomorrow. You might as well say “Hey buddy, Jesus endorses me, so scram.” (Endorses = confirms, approves) But hey, there’s a catch.
We need each other for encouragement, counsel, prayer support, practical help, wisdom, perspective, correction etc. BUT, our sense of acceptance and trust can only be in God ALONE.
Now would you like to put your trust in this unfailing God? Follow these ABCs to do so: Admit –you’re a sinner/imperfect. No one can live up to the Holy God’s standard. That’s why no human being is dependable! Believe –Jesus died on the cross for you. God loves YOU so much that He sent Jesus to take YOUR penalty to save YOU from YOUR sins. Now that’s some one I can trust my life with! Confess –your sinfulness/imperfection to God, and turn away from it. It could be a sincere cry from your heart, or it may be expressed out loud like this: “Dear God, I know I’m a sinner. I believe that Jesus died for my sins. I trust Him as my Savior (penyelamat). Come into my heart, I make you my Lord and King.”
There you have it, welcome to the family of God! Put your trust in God today :) God bless~
Check out this really cool video, amusing yet lotsa truth in there :) enjoy! ^^
Pretty cool huh? There's a blog post some what related to this video that I posted up recently, "An Artist's Heart", check it out if you're interested ;) REMEMBER! YOU ARE GOD'S ORIGINAL MASTERPIECE!
Okay I know I'm bit slow with blogging these days, I do have my reasons actually (ask me personally). I'm still gonna update the hot stuff going on especially in Impactors, LYPG (Local Youth Prayer Gathering) and SF(Student Fellowship). Can I not post pictures? I'm feeling kinda lazy.. heehee~ XD but I had taken some shots of the "Dancing" crew already... *sigh~ Fine! I'll post them.
So what's so special? It's the first time Impactors andMYF (Methodist Youth Fellowship) had a joint effort Easter event. Here's a few of my designs: Some post-SPM/STPM/pre-u youths prepared a skit called "Dancing with Jesus" by Lifehouse (a.k.aEverything skit). Meet my crew^^:Oh there's also a video of the skitclicky here to view it Hows it? It may not be great but... I'm happy with it^^
We had testimonies by 2 Aarons, and they were both very good testimonies :) (good job guys!) Praise God 3 souls were saved that night! It may not be many but still, the heaven rejoices :) Hey Impactors and MYFers, wanna do that again? XD
Don't forget the real reason we did this, so that people could know and remember the real meaning of Easter, the love shown on the Cross. God bless!
Very talented, super artistic, genius I'd say! Check out this video then see if you'll agree :)
Ain't he just talented? Well I've come across another genius, far more impressive than this kid, Akiane, will be posting about her sooner or later :) Praise God for His wonderful creations!
This is seriously SERIOUSLY an impressive performance by a child prodigy. Everyone, meet Charice Pempengco from Philippines, a very talented and gifted singer. Here's a video of her singing note to God:
Here's the lyrics:
If I wrote a note to God I would speak whats in my soul I'd ask for all the hate to be swept away, For love to overflow If I wrote a note to God I'd pour my heart out on each page I'd ask for war to end For peace to mend this world I'd say, I'd say, I'd say
Give us the strength to make it through Help us find love cause love is over due And it looks like we haven't got a clue Need some help from you Grant us the faith to carry on Give us hope when it seems all hope is gone Cause it seems like so much is goin wrong On this road we're on
If I wrote a note to God I would say what on my mind I'd ask for wisdom to let compassion rule this world Until these times If I wrote a note to God I'd say please help us find our way End all the bitterness, put some tenderness in our hearts And I'd say, I'd say, I'd say
Give us the strength to make it through Help us find love cause love is over due And it looks like we haven't got a clue Need some help from you Grant us the faith to carry on Give us hope when it seems all hope is gone Cause it seems like so much is goin wrong On this road we're on
No, no no no We can't do this on our own So
Give us the strength to make it through Help us find love cause love is over due And it looks like we haven't got a clue Need some help from you Grant us the faith to carry on Give us hope when it seems all hope is gone Cause it seems like so much is goin wrong On this road we're on
This is a seriously must-see movie! Impactors (Youth Fellowship) watched this movie on our Movie Time! on the 29th January. Its super cool and funny! Here's a short intro:
The Ron Clark Story follows the inspiring tale of an energetic, creative and idealistic young teacher who leaves his small North Carolina hometown to teach in a New York City public school. Through his passionate use of special rules for his classroom, highly innovative teaching techniques and an undying devotion to his students and helping them cope with their problems, Clark is able to make a remarkable difference in the lives of his students.
Though the students in the story are only aged 12, but they have many different tough backgrounds. Mr. Clark used many different creative, innovative, even CRAZY ways to teach his class. There's a part where he made a deal that he'll drink a small carton of milk every 15 seconds as long as the class kept quiet, and his tactic actually workedbecause the kidswanted to see him puke!(Eww~)
Here's a sneak-peek of what he did in History class.
Ron Clark also has an academy, called The Ron Clark Academy. Overall, this is a really inspiring and non-the-less entertaining movie.
I know this video has been spreading around Facebook but I still want to post this, hope this is a reminder to convict ourselves for not spreading the Good News of God's love.
Christians what are we doing?!?!?! We can't be so selfish and chicken out from telling our friends how to be saved! God please forgive us Christians who have disappointed You.
So, here I want to tell EVERYONE about the ABC's of Salvation(a.k.a: how to become a Christian):
A: Admit you're a sinner. Everyone has done things that displease (or offended) a Holy God. No one can live up to His standards. God says no sin can enter heaven. You have to get rid of your sin.
B: Believe Jesus died on the cross for YOU. GOD LOVES YOU and wants you to become His child. He loves you SO MUCH that He sent His Son, Jesus, to die to save you from your sins (Aww~). He took YOUR PLACE on the cross, and suffered punishment YOU DESERVE. Believe He died for you, was buried, and rose again on the third day.
C: Confess your sins to God and turn from it (don't look back!). Call upon Jesus to save you--trust in Him as your Saviour (person who saves you) from sin. This may be a simple but sincere cry from your heart, or you may express it out loud.
If you believe in Jesus and have placed your faith and trust in Him, God has forgiven you, and along with others who believe, you will spend eternity (life after death forever) in heaven with Jesus. WELCOME TO GOD'S FAMILY! :)
