"Do You Like Ice Cream?"

Before you answer (which you most probably might have right after you read my title) check out this snap:

I actually deliberately went to Popular Bookstore to find this particular joke *heehee~ please no one tell anyone who works at any bookstore that I snapped this and posted it here okay? *
shhhh~
Anyway, done laughing? I actually already read this book a long time ago lent to me from Jed's friend. The title: Diary Of A Wimpy Kid

The book is actually a series and they're gonna come up with their 5th book this year. Not only that, its so popular now its become a movie!

By the way, Ben has a knack on copying what he watches or reads so one day.......

Glittery Mess!

It’s shiny and its wet and they're across my room!!! I was playing with a toy (yeah believe me I still play certain toys, not dolls!) then suddenly the cap pop out shooting H2O and micro size shiny green paper to the other side of my room.

And guess what, as I’m blogging this, I haven’t finish cleaning the mess (ALERT! PROCRASTINATION). This is my toy:

How do I play it? I’m just fascinated by the bubble manipulating the water flow and making glittery patterns:

Ain’t it pretty? Anyway, Sakai Head says toys are for boys (hey it rhymes!) and I’m to stick with my art. Fine then! Look out now, the next post will be the start of me posting my masterpieces *pleased grin~

God bless all the boys and girls who STILL like to play with toys (and please help me get rid of procrastination!)

2nd LYPG Update '10

LYPG: Local Youth Prayer Gathering
Date: 27.02.2010
Time: 1400-1530 hrs
Leader(s): James
Number of people who showed up: 16
Content: Worship, prayer, waiting on God, sharing of what as received, closing prayer.

We did a group discussion on the urgency that we felt The Lord gave in each individual's journey of life. We had a good fellowship and time of sharing. The following are the few "urgencies" that we received:

-vision of saving more souls, the coming of revival
-the wisdom and courage to share the Gospel in The Last Days/End Times; there are also high interest among the youth concerning the topic about The End Times
-a discipline life, eg. waking up early every morning, consecrated 1 hour to pray and intercede
-intercede for different nations.
-reaching out in school via Recess Revolution
-purity,cleansing of God on His people, purify ourselves and impact the community
-doing simple stuff to reach out, eg. helping a friend with keeping his book, sharing bible stories with them
-using different personalities to impact different people in school, especially shy ones
-political concern, equipping the youth to be exposed to political concerns

Conclusion, the "urgencies" all lead to a main point -- reaching out to people.
Continue to be faithful in prayer and intercession for Salvation.
Let us not hold back and forget the Great Commission!

God bless~

From Moses to Joshua; From Yoshua To Isaac

Hey attention people (especially comrades of the King), MYPG "head" is passing on his "headship" to Big Guy!

Dear all,

I am glad to inform you of the handing over of the leadership of MYPG to Isaac Lee, who will from now on lead this prayer network/move forward. I have made the decision to step down as I have been challenged to deepen my relationship with God further and to set aside time to seek Him in solitude.

In future, Isaac will be issuing all updates and coordinating all MYPG-related events.

In the mean time, please continue interceding for our Malay countrymen and those who are denied justice all across the nation. Please pray also for the youth of this generation to rise (to give their lives) and for all those who are serving and fighting for Christ in the political arena.

It has been a pleasure and privilege to serve as MYPG National Facilitator for the last 1.5 years, and I hope to continue seeing you at our national level meetings/gatherings. I, like Obi-wan, must now disappear into the realm of 'advisor-hood' and provide the occasional 'grandfather-ly' advice. :)

Signing off,
Yoshua

Thanks Yosh, you have inspired me NOT to be a mercenary in the King's army, I will never forget that! God bless all the MYPG soldiers (and even all the King's soldiers in the world)!

Kedah Youth Concert '10

Whoohoo~! Concert is finally over! which means no more aching hours of practice (literally, aching neck, shoulders, back...overall I'll feel like an old woman). The concert was held at the Kedah RTM studio on the 20th of March (its over, too bad you missed it *chuckles~). Anyway, here's a program list of the songs we played (requested by Jireh):
♪ Six Country Dances......Beethoven ♪ Tubung Periuk......Unknown (Malay Song) ♪ Clock Music......Joseph Haydn ♪ Fantasy On Greesleeves......Unknown ♪ Kabuki Dance......Richard Meyer ♪ Intrigue......Robert Longfield ~interval~ (Songs sung by guest artist Charis Chua): ♪ Belaian Jiwa......Jay Jay ♪ As I am......Charis Chua ♪ I See You......Charis Chua / Tan Si Ying (Songs played with Penang Symphony Band): ♪ Final Countdown......Joey Tempest ♪ Eye Of The Tiger......F.sullivan Iii and J.peterik ♪ Selections From Tarzan......Phil Collins (Finale with Pessband and Charis Chua): ♪ You Raise Me Up......R. Lovland / B. Graham

By the way, some of you readers may have known that I was busy with the designs of this concert's program booklet, and I think its a little more of wasted effort because the printing and editing shop can't work with the program of my designs so they had to redesign everthing! (so sad~)

Anyway, here's a few comparison of my designs (press the "Ctrl" key and scroll your mouse thingy up to zoom in to read the info):

So which do you prefer? please comment okay? ^^

Oh see what I got from the concert!
This was actually given to me by Yu Kee, the saxophonist soloist from Pessband (fancy having their bouquet! the reason he says is they can't bring it back to Penang, I wonder why) Check out his picture:
Cool right? And he's actually younger than me??? (well, younger by just a year)

So overall the concert was good, I won't say great, but its cool ^^ God bless all musicians!

Visit to Theological Seminary

Here are some shots of my first time visiting a theological seminary in Penang, and honestly the visit had opened my eyes to the world of pursuing bible studies. I didn't know that there are many students from different other countries like Hong Kong, China and even Cambodia were here. They're mostly young people and have the gear to venture overseas. The place is actually situated on high grounds (kind of like at the mountain area) and I wonder how people actually build these many buildings there, and they're still building more! Check out this housing area:One thing that would freak out (well maybe just a little) a new driver like me are the roads at this area, they're actually incredibly steep! No wonder Mr. Eshlyn lost a few inches off his tummy by walking up and down these roads:The houses and paths are mostly like this (though this particular path don't appear anywhere else, i think):One of the nice thing about the seminary area is that you get real pleasant views of the sea from where you lodge:Oh yeah and they also have these long houses and mission houses, mostly the younger students and speakers would live in them (partly because younger people can walk higher up the hill than older adults do):Who's the nice looking couple you see in the corner? Well, they're non other than Mr. and Mrs. Eshlyn. Mr Eshlyn has voluntarily pick up the job of taking care of the fish pond:The pond is situated beside the canteen, near a wide space for parking next to the class building:Pretty huh? And I gotta admit that I'm pretty a sucker for shots of flowers, which brightens up many parts of the seminary (hey I'm a girl and I still like flowers okay?):Here's a shot outside the classrooms and chapel and...other rooms:You may think that the seminary is all pleasant and study study study...but not so, there's also a basketball court and i think there's also a tennis court. Here's a shot (from inside of the car at the other side of the road) of some students playing in the court:So....bible studies anyone?

"Note To God" -- Impressive Song by Charice

This is seriously SERIOUSLY an impressive performance by a child prodigy. Everyone, meet Charice Pempengco from Philippines, a very talented and gifted singer.
Here's a video of her singing note to God:

Here's the lyrics:

If I wrote a note to God
I would speak whats in my soul
I'd ask for all the hate to be swept away,
For love to overflow
If I wrote a note to God
I'd pour my heart out on each page
I'd ask for war to end
For peace to mend this world
I'd say, I'd say, I'd say

Give us the strength to make it through
Help us find love cause love is over due
And it looks like we haven't got a clue
Need some help from you
Grant us the faith to carry on
Give us hope when it seems all hope is gone
Cause it seems like so much is goin wrong
On this road we're on

If I wrote a note to God
I would say what on my mind
I'd ask for wisdom to let compassion rule this world
Until these times
If I wrote a note to God
I'd say please help us find our way
End all the bitterness, put some tenderness in our hearts
And I'd say, I'd say, I'd say

Give us the strength to make it through
Help us find love cause love is over due
And it looks like we haven't got a clue
Need some help from you
Grant us the faith to carry on
Give us hope when it seems all hope is gone
Cause it seems like so much is goin wrong
On this road we're on

No, no no no
We can't do this on our own
So

Give us the strength to make it through
Help us find love cause love is over due
And it looks like we haven't got a clue
Need some help from you
Grant us the faith to carry on
Give us hope when it seems all hope is gone
Cause it seems like so much is goin wrong
On this road we're on

If I wrote a note to God

Enjoy and be blessed everyone! :)

Testimony-- God's Speedy Response at Church

This post was requested by fellow Sakai Head.

Date: 12th February 2010
Location: Full Gospel Church Sanctuary
Interesting characters: Felix, Senior, and ME
Ultra interesting character: God

Now how am I gonna start….Once upon a time….SCRAP THAT!

Okay okay, let’s start with a question: Has God ever answered your prayer so quickly that it blows your mind? I sure did experience some instances and they really were mind-blowing! Here’s one of the recent experience.

Well, I was in church and Pastor Felix from Penang Harvest Church (I think it’s this church) was guest speaker for the day. I was expecting to get something from my Impactors senior. He’s on his way from out-of-town and is rushing to get out of town, so he’ll be stopping just awhile at church to deliver me whatever he needs to deliver.

Some points from Felix’s sermon:
~ God’s in control, look to Him
~ Nothing happens in the natural unless something is happening in the supernatural
~ Say to the devil when he tries to bug you: “My Father will get you!”
~ Run/Call out to God first! No need protocol, its direct
~ Be at peace and remember, God is mindful of you

So God always have me in mind huh? Okay, not that I don’t know, but it’s nice to be reminded.
BUZZ~ I got a text message from Senior… OH NO! He’s gonna get here so soon? With this guest speaker there’s no telling when he’ll end…

Tik tok… BUZZ~ *checks cellphone~

Another text message. He’s reaching here already?!?! Oh God! You know I don’t want to miss the sermon, its too good too miss out! Please please please please…… Okay God, You know what I really want, so I’m just gonna trust in You. *closes text message~

Felix: “Let’s end with a prayer,”

*big bang blows in head~ THANK YOU GOD!!!! You’re so awesome you’re so awesome you’re so awesome awesome AWESOME!!!
Cut the story short, it all happened in less than 10 seconds, God not only answer my thoughts (not even a real prayer!) there was also plenty of time for me to answer an altar call before meeting up with Senior.

So REMEMBER! God is MINDFUL of YOU!

Verse Of The Day: Gos.pel.o.so.phy

As requested by Sakai Head (since last year) I've FINALLY remembered to update a review on this album.

I got this album at the Asia Pacific Youth Alive Conference '09 (a.k.a. APYAC '09) and the Indonesian worship team had lead the congregation into the best worship session (in my opinion) in the whole conference. It was energetic, joyful and a real intimate-with-God session.

Well don't get your hopes too high on this album because its not like the usual praise and worship album, about HALF of the content comprises of JAMMING TRACKS! So unless you're a jammer, music lover, or just like to listen to jazzy intrumentals, I won't really recommend this album if you're looking for something.... Worship-y? (I don't know how to call that). Anyway, you could check this album out in Facebook, you can be a friend or be a fan. :)

Number of tracks: 13
Language: English and Malay/Indonesian
Rating: ★★★☆☆

Be blessed!
