Under 18--Zint
This is one of my favorite comics, created by a local artist, Zint (I don't know his real name, but I know he's a Chinese).
It has sequels as below:
-No Fear
-Fearless
-Fear No More
-End Of Fear
As you can see its about students, and it actually leaves a negative impression at first because it has traces of gangsterism and violence, I actually get sounded by my mom when this comic 1st appeared in my house (yeah you can shake your head at me now).
But leave the negatives out, you get romance, teenage struggles (SPM, bully, parents etc.) and school life (the main characters are members of a counseling club).
Looks and sounds serious and boring? Well actually its contents are super DUPER hilarious and most of the time the stories are showered with unexpected nonsense (or sakainess).
Many youths today are troubled and have problems which we mat not be aware of, its time to start giving a helping hand (simply showing concern) to the teens out there for the hope of a brighter future.
God says: " I have plans for you, plans to prosper you, to give you a future and a hope,"
God bless all youths of the world! :)

Behind That Shiny Resume--Jasmine Yow
This is a very interesting book written by a youth (21 years old still considered youth? I guess so, lets call her my senior ok?) from my church. Here's a short intro:
Have you ever wondered what lies behind a successful facade? For Jasmine, it was a confused and hurting heart that led to clinical depression.
Behind that Shiny Resume offers you precious glimpses into her honest struggles. Watch her wrestle to reconcile her fiery passion to be outstanding in life with her desire for peer acceptance. And take heart as the girl who once mocked her shiny resume finally learns to love and enjoy her God-given beauty and talent.
I've read her book (Its her 1st published book ever) and had laughed and teared at the same time in the process of digesting its contents. Very easy to read and professionally written, its a hard-to-put-down book. Here's a peek of 1 of its interesting bit of her life written in the book:
So I decided I would try.
But in there, I didn't try. I didn't try at all. I didn't even read the questions.
I just scribbled a few lines on my answer sheet explaining that I did nothing and there would be no need for the examiner to panic over loose answer scripts.
Just give me my zero, I wrote.
Isn't she just adorable? I would recommend this book to students especially, it'll be available this Jan 2010 at Malaysian bookstores (Popular, MPH etc.). For more info on how to get it and the price of this book, check out this Facebook page for more info :)
Jasmine we're so proud of you! May God continue to bless you in your wonderful life!

Chill chill chill chill.......CHILL!
I'm pissed.
Simple, I'm pissed.
Counting to 10 doesn't really help (Though I've not tried it before).
Sharing with someone helps a bit (Well it actually helps a lot more than just a bit).
I'm more pissed when the case is on my side. If I'm wrong, I won't be so pissed because I know I'm unqualified to feel so.
Gotta keep reminding myself that God judges all things and defends the right and honest.
Remind myself that even though God judges, I can't give in to my mean self and curse someone.
Remind myself that my case is much more smaller than what Jesus had to suffer because of the mean and ungrateful people who tormented Him.
SO...Celina, just CHILL!

A Letter from Hell--Must Watch
I know this video has been spreading around Facebook but I still want to post this, hope this is a reminder to convict ourselves for not spreading the Good News of God's love.
Christians what are we doing?!?!?! We can't be so selfish and chicken out from telling our friends how to be saved! God please forgive us Christians who have disappointed You.
So, here I want to tell EVERYONE about the ABC's of Salvation(a.k.a: how to become a Christian):
A: Admit you're a sinner. Everyone has done things that displease (or offended) a Holy God. No one can live up to His standards. God says no sin can enter heaven. You have to get rid of your sin.
B: Believe Jesus died on the cross for YOU. GOD LOVES YOU and wants you to become His child. He loves you SO MUCH that He sent His Son, Jesus, to die to save you from your sins (Aww~). He took YOUR PLACE on the cross, and suffered punishment YOU DESERVE. Believe He died for you, was buried, and rose again on the third day.
C: Confess your sins to God and turn from it (don't look back!). Call upon Jesus to save you--trust in Him as your Saviour (person who saves you) from sin. This may be a simple but sincere cry from your heart, or you may express it out loud.
If you believe in Jesus and have placed your faith and trust in Him, God has forgiven you, and along with others who believe, you will spend eternity (life after death forever) in heaven with Jesus. WELCOME TO GOD'S FAMILY! :)

What to Get Rid Of in 2010
PROCRASTINATION.
I have other goals like "Goals in Impactors" and "Goals in SF (Student Fellowship)" actually, but maybe that'll wait till next time......

Random goals 2010
Super random and some are some what impossible. But I'll just give it a shot ;D
*Use average less than RM1 per day on cellphone credit. (Impossible)
*Work out/exercise/play sport at least half an hour 3 times a week. (Mildly impossible)
*Get my driving license before March. (Maybe impossible to those who thinks I'm a lousy driver, WHICH I'M NOT!)
*Save up to an average RM50 per month. (Pretty possible i think, see hows "income" on Chinese New Year)
Other random goals too random, no need to post it here. haha~
They sound impossible? Yes? No? Never mind, nothing is impossible with God! ;D

Spiritual Goals 2010
Some how I find my spiritual goals more challenging to achieve, quite discipline-testing I would say.
*Pray at least 1 hour everyday
*Read through the whole bible before Form 6 starts (Free-time factor)
*Achieve Highly Commended in National Postal Bible Quiz 2010 (Co-curriculum factor)
*Help at least 5 people in their spiritual walk with God
*Attend all LYPGs (LYPG-Local Youth Prayer Gathering)
Ok, I really need lots of discipline and God's grace for these goals. May God help those who seek Him with all their heart :)
God bless!

Family goals 2010
Why family goals? Isn't it simple? Love your family. Period.
Well I got a couple of special goals in mind which specifically fits 2010 ;) hehheh~
*Tutor Ben till he can achieve better grades.
I'm actually WILLING to do that because:
1. I'm bored of having lots of free time before Form6 starts.
2. I'm paid to do that.
3. I think I do a better job in tutoring Ben than my parents.
Good reasons huh? Next:
*Plan parents 25th wedding anniversary. SHHH~ not a word to my parents ya?
Aww..Celina you're so sweet! Yeah, I'm just trying to be a good daughter and eldest child....and also to fill up my free time. Hehehe~

Academic goals 2010
But Celina, you're studying Form 6 and its like another 5months ahead before it starts! Do you seriously want to plan so far ahead? You could just sit back and relax first....
Recently, I was inspired by one of the rarest and most impressive person i know on early planning--my father. He is currently attending some bible school courses WHICH he had planned 22 YEARS AGO!!! How many people out of 100 or 1000 or even 10000 would actually do that? One word--RARE. I'm slowly learning from him :)
So back to main point, my following academic goals are:
*Prepare for Form 6.
Er....That is pretty vague Celina......Ok ok, so lets focus a little shall we?
*Review Additional Mathematics and Chemistry before Form 6.
That sounds more like a plan, but oh well, gotta start from some where right? :)
*Achieve at least 2 As by the end of the year.
(Flashback 2009: Asked Impactor James about his STPM trial results.)
James: To pass is already not easy you still expect to get an A?!?!?
That doesn't sound very good, lets make it more realistic:
*Pass in all exams.
High hopes huh?
(Flashback 2009: First B.Melayu tuition class.)
Cikgu Rokiah: (Roughly translated from Malay) We should aim the best, the highest, and strive to achieve it. And even though we can't achieve it, we won't fall too far from that goal.
(Flashback 2002: Still a pioneer in Royal Rangers.)
Commander Simon: Lets lift up our right hand and say the Rangers' Pledge. With God's help, I will do my best...
So that's all for "Academic Goals 2010", watch out for "Family Goals 2010" coming soon. :)

ImPACToRS 2010-- New Year Resolutions!
The title is SOOOO wrong.
It should be "Celina's 2010 Resolutions".
Ok so why ImPACToRS? Reason is because the Impactors did 2010 resolutions on the 8th. So naturally I also did my resolutions along with the Impactors.
We were given pretty papers to write on and for us to stuck it some where we can see everyday.
Ain't it pretty? haha.. Ok if you GUYS think this is too cute for a guy, some Impactors guys actually went picky on the designs like "Hey can I have the one with lines please? Oh what about the one with circle lines?"
*sweat~
We did a little "ask-around" to see how Impactors did for last year,2009. Some responses are pretty good like:
"7 out of 11 achieved"
"70% achieved"
"Almost all achieved"
Ok Celina, lets see what you've got...........erm.....25% only?
Whew! Good thing I wasn't asked. Hehehehe.....
Celina you're pathetic~ But nevermind, you'll do better this year.
I've also been looking through some impactors' 2009 goals and found out that...
I THINK SOMEONE DIDN'T LOST WEIGHT LAST YEAR!!!
Celina! That's pretty mean of you! Mental note: Be nice in year 2010.
Other resolutions coming up soon so stay tune people and BE NICE.
God bless!

FWP--Fast Wait & Pray
Whoo hoo!
FWP has come to Kedah!
Ok ok, actually this is a mini sized FWP because its mainly about kedahans or "Astarians" (as I call it) coming together to fast, wait and pray to seek God's direction for 2010 & beyond SPECIFICALLY FOR KEDAH AND ALOR STAR.
Hehheh~
But people from other states are also welcomed to join us :)
We'll be praying for a number of things besides waiting on God, and they're actually NEW & FOCUSSED DIRECTION FOR LYPG (Local Youth Prayer Gathering) FOR 2010.
If you can't make it but are willing to also pray and intercede for our nation, here are the main points emphasied for LYPG 2010:
*a. Muslim Background Believers (MBB). This is to pray that God continue to bless and strengthen those working in this risky and tough harvest field. That God will continue to grow and protect the leaders.or http://mypg.wordpress.com/
*b. Christians in politics. We want to uphold all Christians who are serving God tirelessly (and sometimes without support from the Church). Pray that God will use them to further His Purposes and Kingdom.*c. Youth Mission Movement. Pray that God will "call out a generation" that will dedicate themselves to playing a crucial role in the Great Commission, whether as goers or senders. If you want to know more about FWP, LYPG and stuff related to it, you could checkout:

Lets join our hearts together and pray for God's will be done in our nation! God be glorified! :)

2010--Bergarisan...Sedia...Mula!
Whoohoo!!! The thrill, the tension, the pressure, the ADRENALIN!
I can almost see myself on that school field of mine, pumping up my nerves, feel my stomach twist as I flex my legs on lane no.1. With hundreds of eyes on the field...
"Celina!!! Jiayou!!! (All the best)"
Aiyoyo~
My fellow supporters and SF (Student Fellowship) Club juniors shouting across the field. I just glance at them then turn back to focus on the track (Acting cool like a "pro" athlete).
"Ok guys, especially Jacob, watch me."
The gun is pointed up, the runners position themselves. Heart beating like crazy, hand gripping the baton like crazy, mind focusing like crazy, THE TENSION IS SO CRAZY!
*BANG!!!*
"Speed speed speed...come on Celina cepat...yes u'r doing great...you're ahead of them now...just about 90m left..."
"Aargh!" Pain growing...Must not give up!.......
Ok lets fast forward shall we? The main character ended up winning a gold medal despite having an injury at the last 90m or so.
LESSONS LEARNED:
*Disatisaction- The right kind. You can do BETTER!
*Devotion- Concentrate on one thing.
*Direction- Look forward and stay on track.
*Determination- Get into the race to win it!
*Discipline- Obey the rules, or you're disqualified.
Lets do what it takes to finish The Amazing Race of Life, and we can start now, this year, in 2010.
1! 2! 3! Ole~Ole Ole Ole~ Kita, BOLEH!
