《那些年》读后感

1。九把刀真的很会说故事，有些地方形容地很优美

2。不过一开始就很多粗活，第一个印象有点被破坏 ><

3。主角很厉害，追的时候真的太多手段了，连自己也差点给他骗掉

4。但我不能顶的就是虽然刚开始还蛮主动、有勇气地追，却到最后还是没主动地告白 *唉~

5。主角的好朋友好像比他还要有智慧，又有义气，弄得主角看起来更“傻傻”

6。对噢。。主角有没有父母的？><

7。我认同主角好朋友说的，主角或许喜欢的是那“热血恋爱的感觉”而不是对方本人

8。故事很精彩，只是到最后。。。我不会再读这本书 ;)

STPM results are OUT?

Not yet XD

Haha~! Soon, soon >< Argh... I'm excited yet nervous yet anxious yet... like that lorh~

I don't even dare simply pray about the matter, it's like there's nothing much, nothing really relevant to pray about. If I pray to get what I deserve, manatau (what do you know) I deserve ZERO "A"s.

Aah~ scary.

Had a dream of when STPM results are out. Nightmare. All I know I woke up in the morning feeling so grey and mom was just standing by the door, not really knowing what to say when I gloomily half-mumbled about my dream to her while folding something on my bed.

But you know what, thinking back of how far I've came, being obedient to God on staying back, in the past 1 & 1/2 years He had never let me down. So I confidently say, why won't He do it again for the last time in this phase of my life? XD *ching smile~

I took the 1st step of faith and obedience to His will, and I've enjoyed SO MUCH MORE from my good God just because of this step. In the future, if I answer "YES SIR!" to Him all the way, who knows what great measure of blessings and all the indescribable awesomeness awaits for me!

Here's a question: Can you profit, in ANY way, for disobeying God?

No way.

Remember this as I make it clear to you:
There is NO WAY you can profit for disobeying God.

I don't want to talk big on my results, honestly, I don't dare to >< But I did give my shot and not play play (too much XD) in where God had placed me, so whatever the results, I still thank my God :)

God says in the Bible:"I know the plans I have for you, they are to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" [Jeremiah29v11]


Put your trust in Jesus, He never lets you down :)

Of Animals & Pillows XD

One day, while I was studying for STPM, Ben was doing some homework in my room (imagine that, its holiday and after UPSR and he's following parent's advice to brush up, how nice~ haha)
He sometimes does his work when I'm doing my work, I'm quite fine with it. So, I was just reading...studying...revising...and then Ben starts reading:

Many animals use pillow so that they cannot be seen easily. The most common pillow is the use of colours. An octopus can change from black to white in less than half a second. Many pillows and reptiles can change their colours too. For example, the skin of a pillow can turn green, yellow, cream or dark brown.

One reason why animals use pillow is to protect themselves. Insects are hunted as food by many enemies such as birds, frogs and lizards. To avoid being seen easily, many insects have pillows on their wings and bodies. These pillows look like the leaves and flowers around them. Some insects even look like pillows and sticks. Some beetles cover themselves with mud, sand or chalk.

Pillow is also important to animals that hunt for prey. They must not be seen as they approach and attack their prey. Otherwise their "food" will escape. Polar bears have white fur that match the pillow. They even use their pillows to hide their black noses. The tiger's stripes and the leopard's spots look like pillows in the jungle. The crocodile looks like a piece of floating pillow in the water because its skin is rough and brown.

Sounds ridiculous isn't it? That's what I thought, and I couldn't help laughing listening to him. Haha~ Anyway, thank God for pillows! XD

I got this in an email from my "angel", Karen (Yes SFers, like the angel-mortal thing in SF, but she's not in SF ;) )

Emotional Attack? Or Is It...

Spiritual attack.

I don't like it. I don't want to say it but I had to be honest. I'm not happy.

NYRC is just tomorrow. And just within this week, my emotions were like riding a roller coaster.

No. It's not what you think. Things aren't just that simple. It's this and that, plus a whole lot in between.

Yes, each time, spending time with God builds a whole lot of strength. I feel good, confident that the devil is not gonna put me down because I'm victorious and he's the loser.

But I just hate it, the rare times I actually even use the word "hate", when he's such a pig-headed bad guy when I'm trying my best to be as hardcore as I can.

Stress. Depressed. Guilt. Loneliness. And more...

This is sick, the bad guy knows my weak points. Hitting me hard again and again when I'm trying to keep myself focus on the things of God.

Am I trusting in God? Am I relying on Him? Am I crying out to Him to help?

OF COURSE I AM!!! I'm always trying to put up a nice and cheerful front, not weighing you down with what's going on inside, smiling again the next morning.

OF COURSE I AM CRYING WITH MY SICK AND PAINFUL HEART DAY AND NIGHT!!!
NO ONE UNDERSTANDS WHAT'S THE WHOLE MESS GOING ON INSIDE EXCEPT GOD!!!

I'm still believing, something good, something even greater is prepared and will take place. NYRC will be my retreat/intensive "training" to "repair" and equip me for greater things to come.

I Need My Director, Now.

Things are pretty lost for me now, I know the story line, I know my role, but I don't get the whole picture. Is that what the Director wants? Anyhow, even though now I'm not in a good state, perhaps in a mess, I'm sure that under the guidance of the Director, He'll make it all work.

I think Joshua could have said similar things about
the Director of his life. The
newly commissioned leader of Israel is standing at the
threshold of Canaan. Moses, his mentor, has died. He’s
the new top dog, and the weight of the responsibility must
have been palpable. Twice God told him, “Be strong
and courageous” (Joshua 1:6,9). And once He said it
with emphasis, “Be strong and very courageous (v.7). It’s
not difficult to imagine Joshua’s fear and apprehension.
More than 2 million Israelites were looking to him to lead
them to their homeland.

How would he do it? God didn’t provide him with a detailed script, but He did give Joshua assurances and commandments.

Essentially, God’s assurances were: l’ll be with you. I
won’t give up on you. I won’t leave you. I will be with you
every step you take (vv.5,9). And God’s commandment
was: Make sure you study and practice everything written
in My Word (vv.7-8). Joshua’s response? Complete
devotion and surrender to his amazing Guide.

Near the close of his life, Joshua proclaimed, “Not a single one of all the good
promises the Lord had given to the family of Israel was left unfulfilled; everything
He had spoken came true” (21:45).

We too can abandon ourselves to a story and to a Director who “will make it
